Corporate Giving

Good corporate citizens wanted.
Together we'll do great things.

altThere are many ways to be a good corporate citizen, but few opportunities offer as much potential for mutual reward as a Corporate Membership with Carnegie Museums of Pittsburgh. Click here to join us at one of our three corporate-giving levels and your company will join hundreds of other regional businesses in enjoying the many standard benefits of Corporate Membership, including valuable benefits that you can pass on to your employees. At the same time, you’ll be financially supporting the Pittsburgh region’s largest and most far-reaching cultural organization.

  • We are the largest provider of K-12 educational programming in southwestern Pennsylvania. All told, our museums help teach and inspire nearly half a million children each year.
  • Our museums are among the city’s top tourist attractions.
  • In 2003, Carnegie Science Center received the nation’s highest honor for excellence in community outreach
  • In 2006, Carnegie Museum of Art was ranked the 5th best art museum for children in the country by Child magazine.
  • In late 2007, Carnegie Museum of Natural History will unveil its new dinosaur exhibits, called Dinosaurs in Their World, which will showcase more dinosaurs than ever before and turn the museum—and the city of Pittsburgh—into the world’s premier spot to see and learn about dinosaurs.
  • The Andy Warhol Museum has become the city’s most prominent cultural ambassador to the world. More than five million people worldwide have seen the museum’s traveling exhibitions.

Every organization wants to have an impact on its community in visible, measurable ways. When you can accomplish this goal and receive something in return, it benefits everyone. And that’s exactly what the Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) program, administered by Pennsylvania’s Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED), makes possible: It encourages strategic philanthropy by allowing companies to distribute their tax dollars to organizations that support the important work of our public and private schools through creative programming. Thanks to the EITC program, a two-year commitment of equal funding to an education program at Carnegie Museums can earn your company a business credit of 90% against the taxes you owe; and a one-year commitment will earn you a tax credit of 75%. And because you can also claim the donation as a charitable contribution, the tax savings may, in effect, equal or exceed 100% based on its tax obligation. Learn more about the EITC program, or contact Carnegie Museums Corporate and Foundation Giving at 412.578.2469.

Every year, the four Carnegie Museums bring a diverse range of exhibitions and educational programming to our region—reaching more than 1.3 million people as a result. Won’t you consider partnering with us as a corporate sponsor and reaping the rewards of reaching such a large and culturally engaged audience? A gift that incorporates an exhibition or program sponsorship is a marketing win-win for everyone. Specific benefits for your corporation could include access to the museum’s audience, recognition on our websites, email or onsite signage, couponing, onsite sampling events, and custom-designed programs.
