Who can volunteer? Volunteer opportunities exist for teens, college students and adults of all ages. Opportunities are always changing depending on the needs of the museum. We regret that there are not enough opportunities for all of our applicants. If you are interested in volunteering, please review this Web site carefully and submit your application. We will make every effort to match qualified volunteers with rewarding experiences that match your interests and museum needs. At the present time volunteer opportunities are very limited. Volunteers may be required to provide and pay for background checks and clearances.
Volunteering at The Andy Warhol Museum: Work in the weekend factory helping visitors of all ages make art inspired by Andy Warhol. Volunteers work in the archives or with the time capsules, or provide office and curatorial support. Volunteers also assist in the registrars and rights/reproduction offices.
Internships: A small number of unpaid internships are available at The Andy Warhol Museum. Internships are highly competitive and placement may take up to 12 months, so apply as early as possible. We will make every effort to match potential interns with the limited internships available. Application deadlines for internships are: Summer - April 17th of that year, Fall – July 17th of that year and Spring – November 17th of that year. There are two ways to submit your application. Volunteer and intern benefits: All volunteers enjoy free admission to all four museums; a subscription to Carnegie magazine; discounts on parking, classes, food services and gift shops; networking, recognition, enrichment and social opportunities; education sessions and training; the opportunity to share skills and gain new ones while finding new friends and peers with the similar interests.

Placements are determined by matching volunteer qualifications, knowledge, interests and availability with current opportunities. A personal interview will be scheduled as opportunities become available.
